National Sports Awards 2020 with an Increased Amount

Here we will tell you about Major Dhyan Chandra as well as National Sports Awards 2020. The birth anniversary of great hockey player Major Dhyanchandra is celebrated on 29 August, which is known as National Sports Day. He was born on 29 August 1905 in a Rajput family in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. Major Dhyan became very well known for his Olympic gold medal 3 times in magic hockey and the magic tricks.

Major Dhyanchandra won the gold medal in the Olympics for India in the year 1924, 1932, 1936. They are also called hockey magicians.He scored over 1000 goals in his playing period. He died on 3 December 1979 in Delhi.

Various sports competitions are held across the country to honor National Sports Day Major Dhyan Chandra.Due to Corona, this time the National Sports Awards will be presented online, this will be the first time that there will be no award ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan on the occasion of Sports Day.
